TRBusiness is pleased to announce that the 2025 Global Travel Retail Awards e-zine, which celebrates all those recognised in this year’s edition of the duty free and travel retail (DF&TR) industry’s only consumer-voted awards programme, is now live and ready to view.
In our dedicated publication, we recap on all those who earned the gold standard in travelling consumer recognition, the prestigious ‘Voted by Shoppers’ accolade, and celebrate the best of the action through our must-watch event video – renewed congratulations to all those recognised!
As well as zooming in on the accolades, you can find out more about the judging process, learn what our panel of influencer judges think about the travel retail shopping experience, and hear how trophy winners are celebrating their newfound status, plus more.
Simply click here or on the publication cover (right or below) to read the ezine and interact with our multi-media content.
This year’s awards took place on Tuesday 30 September at Hôtel Martinez, timed to coincide with the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.
Featuring a dynamic new set-up with a central stage for an even more immersive experience, the ceremony raised the roof with a sparkling networking cocktail, the exciting reveal of the trophy winners and an electric afterparty featuring a live band.
Now in its eighth year, the Travel Retail Awards, organised by TRBusiness with event partner m1nd-set, continue to go from strength to strength.
Being voted for entirely by shoppers means the programme stands out for providing stakeholders around the globe with a coveted opportunity to earn recognition from the industry’s ultimate decision-makers: travelling consumers.
As well as our popular roster of product accolades, this year’s programme saw a number of new categories in the mix including Best Airport Retail Initiative (Campaign), Best Airport Retail Initiative (Special Occasion) and Best Airport Activation (Out-of-Store), which were created to reflect the evolving landscape.
Being recognised is a tremendous achievement with research by m1nd-set showing that 22% of consumers are more likely to purchase a product displaying the ‘Voted by Shoppers’ Finalist logo and nearly a third (31%) of consumers are more likely to purchase a product displaying the ‘Voted by Shoppers’ Winner logo.
This clearly demonstrates the impact of this distinctive awards programme in not only raising awareness within in the trade about the products and initiatives that consumer genuinely rate, but as a tool that can directly influence the shopper at the point of sale.
“Consumer feedback plays a vital role in ensuring the ongoing success of the travel retail ecosystem,” said Nigel Hardy and Janice Hook, Co-Owners & Joint CEOs, TRBusiness.
“To that end, we thank our data partner m1nd-set for providing the base of the consumer voting, which marries perfectly with the opinions of our influencer judges.
“Thank you also to all those who entered this year’s programme. We hope the spirit in which this awards programme was established – of providing honest, quality feedback from travelling shoppers, giving rise to recognition that can have a tangible impact on business – truly resonates with you.
“We’d also like to pay a sincere thank you to our incredible sponsors for backing this meaningful industry event.”

TRBusiness Editorial Director Faye Bartle co-presented the 2025 Global Travel Retail Awards.
As TRBusiness and m1nd-set get ready to reveal a refreshed lineup of categories for 2026 – entries are opening in January 2026 – we encourage all those with a product or an initiative that deserves recognition to get set to make their submissions.
Remember – the Travel Retail Awards provide a distinctive advantage that no other awards programme in DF&TR industry can – recognition from travelling shoppers and an accolade that can be used to help drive engagement and conversion on the shop floor.

Trophy winners at the 2025 Global Travel Retail Awards gather to celebrate their wins.
“Overall, I think the travel retail industry has been inside its own bubble for decades because industry stakeholders were evaluating each other and themselves, which in my opinion can backfire in the long run,” said Peter Mohn, Owner & CEO of m1nd-set.
“The consumer-voted Global Travel Retail Awards went outside this bubble in 2018 and actually started listening to the end-consumer: the travelling shopper. It is in fact crucial to listen and understand the consumer if you want to be successful in any industry and these awards are doing exactly that.
“The winners of these awards have done something extraordinary to meet the needs of those who have the wallets and spend their money in travel retail.”
Finally, and once again, TRBusiness would like to say “bravo” to all those who joined the ‘Voted by Shoppers’ club this year, and extend its sincere thanks the companies and brands that submitted entries, attended the ceremony and also to our fantastic lineup of event partners for their incredible support.
