L-R: Fred Lam, CEO of Airport Authority Hong Kong joins Augustin de Romanet, Chairman and CEO of Groupe ADP to sign the MOUs at the Paris Air Forum.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and Groupe ADP will exchange knowledge on luxury goods cargo management and e-commerce under two memorandums of understanding (MOU), signed at the Paris Air Forum (21 June).

An MOU on air cargo development to strengthen co-operation between Paris CDG and AAHK – and between Asia and Europe – includes the promotion of fast-growing and high-value air transport segments such as e-commerce and luxury goods.

Both airports will share knowledge and information to improve efficiency, safety, security, quality and environmental protection in the field.

Augustin de Romanet said: “Groupe ADP is proud to announce a global partnership between Paris CDG Airport and HKIA: two of the most prominent airports in Europe and in Asia.”

“On cargo, each airport will benefit for best practices and from developments of high-value activities such as luxury products and e-commerce.”

Another MOU on airport management and aviation development is designed to enhance network connectivity.

Both airports also agreed to a staff exchange programme and will explore a tie-up in mainland China.
