Managing Director Stephen Hillam’s goal is for Pi Insight to become the voice of the industry around consumer insights.

Travel retail data and research specialist Pi Insight has expanded its consultancy, intelligence, analytics and content offering as it targets further growth and a stronger position as an industry authority on consumer research and sales data.

The UK-based company, which works with industry associations including ETRC and TFWA, has also unveiled a refreshed corporate identity, website and logo. Its new website is positioned as a ‘one-stop intelligence hub’, bringing together shopper insights with commentary on consumer behaviour and performance tracking.

The move forms part of Pi Insight’s ambition to double the size of its business, following a period of growth that has included new clients, hires and office premises over the past 12 months. The company also plans to increase its free-to-access output through blogs, commentary, data, newsletters, infographics and social media.

“We want to be the voice of the industry when it comes to consumer and industry insights, intelligence and knowledge,” said Pi Insight Managing Director Stephen Hillam. “The intent is to be the go-to place for stakeholders to understand key industry dynamics so they can confidently develop insight-led strategies.”

Hillam said the expansion comes as travel retail becomes increasingly reliant on data and insights, prompting Pi Insight to grow its capabilities, methodologies and capacity.

Founded in 2019, the company specialises in data management, research reports and bespoke analysis. In May, it appointed Sabeen Ditta to the newly created role of Client Success Manager as part of a wider scaling of its operations in response to increased client demand.

Pi Insight will also release its 2026 Global Shopper Study in September, bringing together shopper insights covering 14 global travelling and duty-free spending nationalities.

Stephen Hillam said the expansion comes as travel retail becomes increasingly reliant on data and insights.

Its next phase of development will focus on deeper integration with existing clients, growing its customer base and strengthening its positioning around actionable, cost-effective insights.

“Working with clients as a strategic extension of their team and identifying clear, actionable intelligence is at the heart of what we do,” said Ditta. “With our new website and closer integration of our consultancy, analytics and insight capabilities, we are better placed than ever to support brands and retailers with the clarity to drive strong commercial outcomes.”
