Global drinks group Rémy Cointreau has promoted Fida Bou Chabke to the role of Global Travel Retail CEO effective 1 July 2023, and named Alice Hoffman its new marketing director for the channel.
Chabke has worked with Rémy Cointreau for over six years, holding general management positions across Asia and Europe, and most recently as Louis XIII General Manager in the Americas.
In her new role, Chabke will hold responsibility for developing the performance and presence of Rémy Cointreau brands across GTR, and will continue to lead on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion alongside a committee worldwide.
“Please join me in congratulating Fida on her new role and wishing her continued success within the group,” said Ian McLernon, Rémy Cointreau CEO for EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Global Travel Retail.
“With Fida joining our leadership team, we eagerly anticipate further growth of our brands in the strategically significant Global Travel Retail channel.”
She takes over the role from Adam Hamzah, who has stepped down to pursue personal interests. In a statement, Rémy Cointreau wished him the best for his future endeavours.
New GTR marketing director
Rémy Cointreau has also named Alice Hoffman as its new Marketing Director for the GTR channel.
She will be based in Singapore and report directly to Chabke.
Hoffman has worked within the Rémy Cointreau business for 14 years in a number of brand management roles. Most recently she held the post of Global Brand Director for Cointreau, based in Paris.
Earlier this year, Rémy Cointreau GTR unveiled Louis XIII The Drop, a unique and surprising 1cl format of the ultra-premium Cognac to inspire a ‘new generation that values spontaneity, individualism, and nomadism’.
