Ricola launches travel exclusive range

By Charlotte Turner |

Swiss herbal sweet brand, Ricola, is launching a collection of products exclusively for travel retail outlets, offering consumers three new ways to enjoy Ricola: as a gift, as a taster pack, or as a family pack for sharing.

“The packaging and design of the new products reflects Ricola’s core values: great-tasting specialties made with herbs from the Swiss mountains, uniquely soothing and refreshing,” says the brand.

The new travel exclusive range, which will be available from April, will feature packaging adorned with gold ribbon. “Ricola is a symbol of Switzerland worldwide and therefore an appropriate gift or companion for those who enjoy traveling and are often on the move,” said Stephan Huber, Head of Travel Retail at Ricola on the new step into the exclusive travel retail segment.

Ricola herb drops come packaged as a gift in a 150g gold ribbon-adorned tin, or in a gift box. There are four selected flavors: Ricola Lemon Mint, Cranberry, Eucalyptus and Original, each in a 45g box.

Lastly the Ricola Big Candy features five sugar free treats: Ricola LemonMint, Eucalyptus, Cranberry, Elderflower and Original.

The range also includes the classic travel sweet – Ricola Original herb drops, available in a 70g bag or 250g tin and a 400g family pack with a fine selection of sugar free Ricola Cranberry, Original and Elderflower herb drops.

Stephan Huber is optimistic about the future: “We would like to further consolidate Ricola’s international presence. The new range will reinforce the internationally strong Ricola brand and achieve additional growth within the global travel and tourism segment.”
