Rituals lip care line 2020 leadBeauty, apparel and lifestyle brand, Rituals has launched a new line of hand and lip care products, which is available now across the brand’s travel retail footprint.

“5,000 years ago the Chinese dedicated themselves passionately to the study of the hands and how to read them in relation to health and well-being,” said Rituals.

“Hands are sensitive and their skin is the first to show signs of ageing.”

In line with this, Rituals said it has created a collection that aims to give hands ‘extra love, care and attention’. The hand care collection comprises hand balms, hand lotions and a hand scrub.

HAND CARE PRODUCTS DELIVER ‘DELICATE SCENT’

The hand lotions are said to contain over ‘95% ingredients of natural origin’ and deliver a delicate scent of either The Ritual of Karma, Ayurveda, Sakura or Samurai. The Hand Balms, which also contain over 95% natural ingredients, are available in The Ritual of Ayurveda, Happy Buddha, and Sakura.

Rituals Ultimate hand care set

The Ultimate Hand Care Collection includes a lotion, two balms and a mask.

Finally, the Hand Scrub is enriched with the ‘mild and nourishing properties of sweet almond oil and the delicate, soothing aroma of Indian rose’, said Rituals.

“The Ritual of Ayurveda hand scrub leaves a fine oily layer behind on skin, moisturising and leaving hands supple,” it added.

Rituals says that the the ancient Taoists inspired the line of new lip products. “[They] believed that the face records the past, reflects the present and forecasts the future.

“In particular, the mouth is regarded as a symbol of people’s fortune. It should never appear dry, as this represents a drying up of luck. With this in mind, Rituals has designed a collection which enhances lips’ appearance and nourishes them.”

TINTED LIP BALMS

The Fortune Balms (Colour) are described as ‘natural and ultra-nourishing tinted lip balms’, enriched with shea butter and aloe vera.

A blend of oils – including olive oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil – helps moisturise the lips, while the antioxidants in grapeseed oil and Vitamin E help smooth and protect against the damaging effects of free radicals, says Rituals. Consumers can choose from a nude or coloured balm.
