Sensai to put hair care and global growth in focus at TFWA
By Naomi Chadderton |
Japanese luxury beauty brand Sensai will return to the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference with new hair and scalp care products, alongside plans to further expand its international and travel retail presence.
Exhibiting at RE11 in Riviera Village as part of the Kao luxury beauty portfolio, Sensai will appear alongside Molton Brown and Oribe, showcasing its Autumn/Winter 2026 launches.
Among the key developments is Sensai’s return to the premium hair and scalp care category, extending its offer beyond its established skincare and make-up portfolio. The brand will also showcase a selection of bestsellers and provide an early look at the evolution of its Saho philosophy for 2027, including developments around its double moisturising ritual.
“Sensai’s continued momentum reflects the power of our luxury beauty proposition, and the increasing relevance of our unique Japanese philosophy among consumers worldwide,” said Julien Noilou, EMEA General Manager. “This year marks an especially exciting chapter for the brand as we re-enter the premium hair and scalp care category – a natural extension of the Sensai universe – bringing the same commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and exceptional performance that consumers have come to expect from our skincare and make-up portfolio.”
Sensai has been identified by Kao as one of its focus brands for driving global growth within its cosmetics business. In EMEA, the brand reported year-to-date growth of 5%, supported by performances in markets including Italy, Germany, Poland and Sweden. The company also reported recent momentum in Turkey, while in Asia Pacific, Sensai is expanding its footprint following its launch in Indonesia, with Thailand identified as its next market entry.
Travel retail remains a key part of the brand’s international expansion. Recent openings at Warsaw Chopin Airport, Václav Havel Airport Prague and Milan Malpensa Airport have expanded its presence across European travel hubs, with a further opening planned at Rome Fiumicino Airport by the end of 2026.
“The openings clearly reinforce our commitment to selective, premium distribution across strategically important travel hubs,” said Noilou. “As we strengthen our presence in established markets, enter new territories and expand our travel retail footprint, we look forward to sharing our latest innovations and future vision with our valued business partners in Cannes.”
Sensai, Molton Brown and Oribe will also host Kao’s traditional evening cocktail reception on Monday 28 September during the exhibition.
