TRBusiness and m1nd-set are delighted to announce Diageo as Gold Sponsor of the Travel Retail Consumer Forum due to take place at the Hilton London Paddington Hotel on 20-22 September.

In addition, Diageo will sponsor a session dedicated to sustainability, health and well-being; topics which align with the company’s own mission statements as set out in the company’s ‘Society 2030: Spirit of Progress’, 10-year action plan recently.

Shane Kelly, Head of Diageo in Society (Europe) & Corporate Relations Director Global Travel, will also play an instrumental part in the session entitled, ‘Lean and Green: Sustainability, Health and Well-being in post-Covid Travel Retail’.

During the event, TRBusiness partner m1nd-set will be delivering unique, unrivalled, and highly valuable consumer research during this two-day conference, tailored to provide the industry with the information it needs to meet consumer expectations as we navigate our way through the pandemic.

This is the first and only industry conference to place the consumer at the heart of the entire agenda and it will also be the first in-person conference in travel retail since the pandemic started.

‘LEAN AND GREEN’

Shane Kelly told TRBusiness why the company is backing the forum: “We’re delighted to be a sponsor of the inaugural Travel Retail Consumer Forum and look forward to participating in the ‘Lean and Green: Sustainability, Health and Well-being in post-Covid Travel Retail’ panel.

“I’m excited to share the details of Society 2030: Spirit of Progress, Diageo’s new 10-year action plan to help create a more inclusive and sustainable world.

“As part of a global business, we are committed to playing our part to protect the future of our planet and to leading the way for others to follow.

“We know that long lasting positive change comes from partnerships and we look forward to strengthening our collaboration with the travel retail industry to help build a more sustainable and fairer future for all.”

By 2030, Diageo says that its ‘Society 2030: Spirit of Progress’ plan will enable them to: Reach 1 billion people with messages of moderation through its brands; achieve Net Zero carbon emissions across its direct operations; increase representation of leaders from ethnically diverse backgrounds to 45% and use 30% less water in every drink it makes.

“Building on a long track-record of ESG progress globally, we will focus our action over the next ten years in three core areas, carefully selected to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): promoting positive drinking; championing inclusion and diversity; and pioneering grain-to-glass sustainability,” said Diageo.
