Lisa Kauffman and Mike Turek took on their new executive leadership roles on 1 January.
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned cruise retailer Starboard Cruise Services has rewarded Lisa Kauffman and Mike Turek with new executive leadership positions.
Chief Marketing Officer Kauffman becomes Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, while Chief Commercial Officer Mike Turek is named Chief Data Analytics Officer.
The announcements are aimed at accelerating the company’s growth, innovation and guest experience services.
In a statement, Starboard CS says Kauffman was the ‘ideal candidate to leverage the power of Starboard’s shoreside and shipboard teams’.
The new role will see her galvanise ‘transformational work’ across account teams in sales, marketing, digital and visual merchandising functions globally.
Meanwhile, Turek takes up a position where he will oversee the business intelligence team and information technology department to elevate areas such as data optimisation, automation, processes and business effectiveness.
His appointment and the new structure is modelled on other LVMH maisons that have successfully exploited data to improve the customer experience, adds Starboard.

The marketing and business strategy veterans will support Starboard’s quest to maximise business intelligence, innovation and revenue.
“With a strengthened leadership team comes a refreshed approach to providing our cruise line partners innovative and profitable retail concepts that ultimately translate into unparalleled vacation retail experiences that delight our cruise guests,” said Lisa Bauer, President and CEO, Starboard Cruise Services.
“Between Lisa and Mike, there are more than 55 years of experience in business strategy, marketing and sales. These strategic infrastructure changes will drive Starboard’s profitable growth, expanding our capabilities in 2023 and beyond.”
