Starboard unveils retail concepts aboard Legend of the Seas

Starboard has launched a portfolio of new retail experiences aboard Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, introducing a series of first-at-sea brand partnerships, immersive shopping concepts and personalised services as the cruise line’s third Icon Class ship begins service.
Developed exclusively for Royal Caribbean, the retail programme spans luxury, fashion, beauty, jewellery and family-focused experiences, with several brands making their cruise retail debut.
Among the first-at-sea launches are curated assortments from lululemon, Lagos, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Drunk Elephant, Kenny Flowers, Goshwara, JW PEI and the Clarins Lip Bar concept, which offers personalised shade matching and product consultations.
Starboard has also introduced a dedicated Fashionphile boutique featuring authenticated pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories, alongside the cruise debut of French jewellery brand Aurélie Bidermann.
Fine jewellery remains a key focus, with collections from Roberto Coin, Le Vian and Goshwara, as well as a curated selection of vintage pieces from brands including David Webb, David Yurman and Tiffany & Co. Guests can also design bespoke jewellery through an onboard Style Bar, with finished pieces delivered to their homes.
The retailer has expanded its experiential offer with several new concepts. Treasure Chest, a new toy store created for Royal Caribbean, features brands including Jellycat, Funko, Squishmallows and NeeDoh, while introducing a plush adoption programme supporting the World Wildlife Fund.
A new 6th & Main boutique allows guests to personalise apparel, accessories and gifts through embroidery, patches and engraving services, while Etched & Aged offers on-site engraving of leather goods, drinkware and, on Caribbean itineraries later this year, spirits bottles purchased onboard.
For the ship’s inaugural Mediterranean season, Starboard has also created Sol & Sea, a destination-inspired retail concept featuring apparel, accessories, home décor and fragrances influenced by coastal European destinations.
“Retail is an integral part of the vacation experience that inspires discovery, creates lasting memories and reflects the unique spirit of each ship,” said Lisa Bauer, President and CEO of Starboard. “For Legend of the Seas, we’ve created an exceptional collection of first-at-sea brand debuts and immersive experiences that blend personalisation, luxury, family connection and adventure. This launch represents another key milestone in our longstanding partnership with Royal Caribbean and underscores our shared commitment to delivering one-of-a-kind guest experiences.”
Claudia King-McWilliams, Vice President and General Manager, Royal Caribbean at Starboard, added: “We designed every space intentionally to encourage exploration and engagement, whether guests are discovering a first-at-sea luxury brand, creating a personalized keepsake or shopping together as a family. The result is a retail experience that feels as unique and memorable as the ship itself.”
Legend of the Seas is currently operating Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Rome before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale later this year for Caribbean sailings.
