The fourth and final session of the acclaimed Travel Retail Sustainability Pitch programme took place yesterday (22 April) when four more companies were rewarded with the travel retail ‘Sustainability Hero’ and ‘Sustainability Trailblazer’ status.

Brown-Forman and Join The Pipe each received the five-star ‘Sustainability Hero’ accolade, while Beam Suntory and Guerlain were awarded the four-star ‘Sustainability Trailblazer’ title during the broadcast at 11:30am (UK BST).

Guerlain: In the name of Beauty

SUSTAINABILITY HEROES

Brown-Forman: Renew, Reuse, Recycle

Join The Pipe: A sustainable alternative to single-use plastic bottles

The Sustainability Pitch sessions are assessed by 25 judges with an eclectic background of travel retail experience. Each judge was tasked with evaluating the pitches based on specific guidelines, such as the initiative’s impact on the environment, corporate approach to sustainability and consumer reaction.

Following each Sustainability Pitch, a short Q&A session ensued between the judges and pitching company.

TRBusiness would like to congratulate all Sustainability Pitch participants for partaking in the initiative, which is designed to give companies a unique opportunity to showcase their sustainable products, services and/or corporate sustainability strategies within duty free and channel retail.

All participants will be able to showcase the Sustainability Hero and Trailblazer logos, which will serve as a convenient reference for travelling consumers at the same time as offering essential recognition of their environmentally conscious approaches.
