The many conversations we have had over recent weeks and months while putting this programme together has opened our eyes to a plethora of highly commendable and exciting new initiatives, whether from travel retail stalwarts or fledgling companies just getting started in the industry.

“The industry can look forward to a showcase of new ideas, potential new partners and new revenue models that will help make travel retail a more sustainable retail channel, and more in line with consumer expectations.”

During Travel Retail Sustainability Week, guests can look forward to a special video roundup of the acclaimed Green Shoots Exchange session, which took place at the TR Consumer Forum in Vienna, Austria in June, and the latest edition of the popular Travel Retail Sustainability Pitch series.

Beam Suntory, Bitmore, Chilly’s, Ferrero, Mondelez and Sustainaholics will each argue their case to be recognised as either a four-star Travel Retail Sustainability Trailblazer or five-star Sustainability Hero.

TR Sustainability Week 2023

The Sustainability Pitches will be adjudicated by an expert lineup of Sustainability Guardians, including Tracy Ross, Projects & Design Manager, Sustainability Champion & LEED Green Associate at ARI Middle East; Zoe Farmer, Global Director Retail Management at gateretail; Arnaud Rolland, CSR VP Lagardère Travel Retail; and Renzo Radice, Global Head Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, Dufry Group.

Those Pitch entrants who meet the required standard will be awarded a coveted seal of approval that they can feature on their B2B and B2C marketing and communications.

Established in 2021, the Sustainability Pitch programme is designed to recognise and reward sustainable products and initiatives associated with the travel industry.

Critically, the sustainability Trailblazer and Hero logos are designed to make it easier for consumers to navigate and make sustainable choices in duty free stores.
