Talking-TRM-Graeme-Stewart-460x306Luggage-Point subsidiary Enviro-Point is relishing the ‘huge opportunity’ to exhibit as part of the TRMarketplace digital platform and form new business relationships [scroll below to watch video].

Initially created to provide oxo-biodegradable plastic solutions for airports, the company has since launched a Travel Safe Portable Hygiene Kit comprising face masks, disposable gloves, disinfectant wipes and a hand sanitiser.

Speaking as part of this publication’s Talking TR Marketplace video interview series, Graeme Stewart, Retail Director, Enviro-Point said: “The opportunity to be part of TR Marketplace and to speak with relevant buyers, provides our company with a huge opportunity moving forward.

“I have seen that Dufry Group, for example is sending their buyers to the event. This is a perfect opportunity to hopefully be matched up through the algorithm settings and to start a conversation.”

The creation of the Travel Safe Portable Hygiene Kit was a direct result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, according to Stewart. “As Covid-19 hit, we essentially had to adapt. Due to our manufacturing history, we were able to do so very quickly and create the Portable Hygiene Kit, which we ensured met all relevant UK and EU certification requirements.”

INVALUABLE AIRPORT EXPERIENCE

Airports were the first target for Enviro-Point once the Portable Hygiene Kit were created, but Stewart is hoping to launch the product into other DF&TR channels. “Due to the airport experience we have gained with our other companies, Weigh Ahead and Luggage point, the first port of call was our airport partners.

“We told the airports we had created the Travel Safe Portable Hygiene Kit and that due to our vending experience, we would happily vend the product within terminals and provide a 24-hour solution to a very public problem.”

He concluded: “Moving on from that, we believe cruise lines, duty free stores, coach stations, railway stations or anywhere travel is required are ideal areas for this product.”

TRMarketplace PRE-REG BUTTON

TRMarketplace is available for all categories and will allow each supplier/brand access to a dedicated ‘brand hub’.

With a fixed price to exhibit of GBP£4,495 (ex VAT) – available to every company regardless of size – TRBusiness and Bluedog Productions believe that this opportunity is accessible to all.

Pre-registration is open for DF&TR retailers, airports, cruise lines, border stores and airlines, who will gain free-of-charge access to the TRMarketplace.

The digital forum has received overwhelming support from the world’s leading travel retail companies; airport operators; inflight concessionaires; cruise, port and border store companies; and many others (see some of the latest below).
