Talking TRMarketplace video series: Hoj Parmar, CEO and Founder, Nuwave
By Andrew Pentol |
Nuwave Channel Partners is looking to diversify into the airport sector with its new range for 2021, which will be unveiled at the upcoming TRMarketplace digital event.
The company, which joins a growing number of exhibitors to sign up for a brand hub at TRMarketplace, sells a variety of products including electronic gadgets and safety items in travel retail. This is achieved through its in-house brands such as Bitmore, Armor London, Studio 19 London and Wavez.
New product lines include the Armor London Natura mask and the Bitmore Pura Portable Ultraviolet Wand. This destroys 99.9% of germs, bacteria and viruses on almost any surface.
In recent months, Nuwave has introduced the new Armor London Safety F!rst Emergency Kit and new powered by eKO:sense range for its Bitmore travel retail tech accessories brand.
Hoj Parmar, CEO and Founder, Nuwave Channel Partners said: “The range we will be bringing out is very current and relevant and is quite a different proposition from what our competitors are putting in the market. We feel there is room for us airside and we can create incremental sales for our potential new partners.”
LOGICAL STEP
On the decision to exhibit at TRMarketplace, Parmar said: “This year, we were planning on exhibiting in Cannes anyway which the pandemic put a stop to. When the opportunity arose to be part of TRMarketplace it was a logical thing for us to do.”
He added: “We have a massive disconnect from our customers during the pandemic, so this event gives us the opportunity to re-connect with them, make new connections within the industry and share our ideas for 2021 and beyond.”
The company has also increased its already strong focus on sustainability as a result of the pandemic. Parmar explained: “We were already focused on sustainability with our product ranges, but seeing the impact on the world during the first three months of lockdown and how the world was actually healing from the impact of years of industrialisation and globalisation, we fast-tracked our research and product development with a clear objective.
“This was to develop sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly materials for all of our products wherever possible and to work and invest in further research and development.”
TRMarketplace is available for all categories and will allow each supplier/brand access to a dedicated ‘brand hub’, where they can showcase their respective product portfolios. Brands can upload all relevant documentation for visitors to browse and download (access restricted).
With a fixed price to exhibit of GBP£4,495 (ex VAT) – for every company regardless of size – TRBusiness and Bluedog Productions believe that this opportunity is accessible to all.
TRMarketplace has received an overwhelming amount of support from the world’s leading travel retail companies.
Among the long list of global operators who have pre-registered for the event we can name the following: Dufry; Lotte Duty Free; Dubai Duty free; 3Sixty; ARI; Flemingo International; Mumbai Duty Free; Harding; King Power Traveler Co Ltd; Tasa Meng Corporation; Iraq Duty Free; Kaner Duty Free among others.
In addition, the following airport groups have also committed to attending the event: Singapore Changi Airport (CAG); Tallinn Airport; Budapest; Cairns; Adani Airports (India); Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (Clark International Airport in the Philippines).
