Talking TRMarketplace: Rachna Malkani, Creative Director, Native Dubai
By Luke Barras-hill |
The TRMarketplace digital forum offers a timely window to amplify Native Dubai to travel retail, according to the firm [scroll below to watch video].
Native Dubai, which conceptualises, designs and manufactures handcrafted leathergoods, says it has a ‘sheer passion’ to bring its products to a global audience and capture spends from younger, travel-savvy and experience-driven consumers.
In a Talking TRMarketplace video interview, Rachna Malkani, Creative Director, Native Dubai said: “During this time, when events are being cancelled and people are literally lost for ideas on how to keep marketing strategies and businesses moving, the fact TRMarketplace is happening is extremely encouraging and exciting.
“TRMarketplace is working constantly to bring in the relevant names of the industry in front of suppliers and brands, making them have meetings and conversations with each other… it is such an important aspect.”
DISCERNING SHOPPER PREFERENCES
Malkani believes the shopping habits of luxury leathergoods buyers have not necessarily changed as a direct result of the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
“Buyers’ luxury shopping habits have been changing over the past five to seven years, but Covid-19 has definitely magnified and hastened the speed where people are now digging deeper to find more meaning and value in everything that they do,” she explained.
“Buyers are either looking at value for money, newness, uniqueness or freshness to make an individual statement. It’s a very educated consumer out there and they are paying attention to quality.”
TRMarketplace is available for all categories and will allow each supplier/brand access to a dedicated ‘brand hub’.
With a fixed price to exhibit of GBP£4,495 (ex VAT) – available to every company regardless of size – TRBusiness and Bluedog Productions believe that this opportunity is accessible to all.
Pre-registration is open for DF&TR retailers, airports, cruise lines, border stores and airlines, who will gain free-of-charge access to the TRMarketplace.
The digital forum has received overwhelming support from the world’s leading travel retail companies; airport operators; inflight concessionaires; cruise, port and border store companies; and many others (see some of the latest below).
