Ahead of the inaugural TRMarketplace digital forum for the duty free and travel retail industry, TRBusiness will hear from exhibiting companies about their motivations for signing up and why the event will be crucial to planning for a post-Covid future.
In the first video of our ‘Talking TRMarketplace’ series, Simon Best, Senior Vice President, Innovation and New Business, Duty Free Innovation (DFI) tells TRBusiness how the company has deftly adapted its business to begin producing consumer-focused PPE.
The ‘Flysafe’ brand, which was born in lockdown, promises affordable ‘grab and go’ PPE kits for passengers, designed specifically for sale at airports.
DFI says it believes TRMarketplace to be the perfect platform to promote its new business developments. “This will be fundamental to our business. This is a fantastic innovation; a great idea by the team at TRBusiness…particularly for small companies like DFI who don’t get regular access to all the clients as we can’t fly around to see everyone.
“What we really love about TRMarketplace is that our products and services can be seen by everyone and not just those on our prospect list. Of course it’s not just about new business for us. We also see this as a great opportunity to connect with our regular clients; show them our new products and talk strategy for the year ahead.”

TRMarketplace is available for all categories and will allow each supplier/brand access to a dedicated ‘brand hub’, where they can showcase their respective product portfolios. Brands can upload all relevant documentation for visitors to browse and download (access restricted).
With a fixed price to exhibit of GBP£4,495 (ex VAT) – for every company regardless of size – TRBusiness and Bluedog Productions believe that this opportunity is accessible to all.
Pre-registration is now open for DF&TR retailers, airports, cruise lines, border stores and airlines, who will gain free-of-charge access to the TRMarketplace.
