Tax Free World to broaden outreach among affiliate trade associations

By Luke Barras-hill |

TFWA President Jaya Singh is the subject of a special interview in TRBusiness’ inaugural digital ezine, available soon.

Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced that it intends to widen its representation within affiliated trade associations.

The move, which follows the recent election of new President Jaya Singh, is designed to offer greater diversity of knowledge and insight.

The following TFWA Board Members will now represent the association on its fellow regional/global boards: Jaya Singh, President, TFWA (Duty Free World Council); Frédéric Garcia-Pelayo, Vice President Finance, TFWA (MEADFA); Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume, Vice President Commercial, TFWA (ETRC); and Sam Gerber, Vice President Corporate, TFWA (APTRA).

TFWA adds that ‘a more coordinated approach’ to the partnerships it enjoys with other associations will enable the industry ‘to speak with one voice and with a common purpose’.

“I’m fortunate to serve on a very talented and experienced TFWA Board and I’m keen that we share their experience and insights with our friends serving on trade bodies around the world,” said Singh.

“At this time of crisis, we place greater value than ever on industry outreach and TFWA is determined to support the vital work being done on behalf of our industry by our sister associations.”
