Tennis ace Novak Djokovic renews agreement with Lacoste until 2025

Tennis champion Novak Djokovic has renewed his partnership with the famed Lacoste crocodile until 2025.

Men’s tennis world number one Novak Djokovic has extended his association with French apparel and sports equipment manufacturer Lacoste until 2025.

The Serbian sports star walks onto court wearing clothing from the self-entitled Novak Djokovic collections, which Lacoste creates specifically each year for the 20-time Grand Slam champion.

Djokovic, who is now tied with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in terms of Grand Slam victories, was first appointed as a Global Brand Ambassador for Lacoste in 2017.

Off court, he has formed a strong bond with Lacoste CEO Thierry Guibert with the company declaring Djokovic as ‘at the heart of the brand’s strategy, as his values, his altruism and commitment to the younger generation match those of the French company, originally inspired by René Lacoste’.

“Our meeting in 2017 was a real coup de coeur,” said Guibert. “His audacity, tenacity and kindness impressed me and I am proud that we can continue our common adventure together and accompany him in his new challenges.”

In July 2020, the Etendart court in Clichy, France was opened to invite schools and young people from associations throughout the year.

Such has been the success of the initiative that Lacoste plans to extend it internationally.
