Michele Miranda has been announced as Tax Free World Association (TFWA) Conference Director.

Miranda assumed her new position in February and is now responsible for overseeing the association’s global conferences and workshops.

The promotion of Miranda, who has worked as TFWA Conference Manager since 2015, comes as the association marks its 40^th anniversary in 2024.

In a statement, TFWA praised Miranda’s “unique portfolio of skills” that she has applied successfully during a career working on high-profile events worldwide.

TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen commented: “I offer my heartfelt congratulations to Michele on her well-deserved promotion. Michele has proven to be an outstanding member of the TFWA team over the past nine years, and has done much to enhance the quality of our conferences, ensuring the participation of some of duty free and travel retail’s most compelling, engaging and knowledgeable speakers. I have no doubt that her enthusiasm, energy and professionalism will stand her in good stead in her new role of Conference Director.”
