TFWA Asia Pacific visitor pre-registation opens

Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has provided further information on the busy networking schedule at next month’s Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (7-11 May).

Set to take place at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the event brings with it a number of attractive opportunities for informal and formal meetings.

In an update last week, the association confirmed in excess of 3,000 industry stakeholders have registered to attend the first full-scale return of the regional summit since 2019.

Visitors can look forward to the Welcome Cocktail at 19:30 on the evening of Sunday 16 May at the impressive Flower Dome, located at the Gardens by the Bay.

From 21:00, those attending will have the chance to enjoy exclusive night-time access to the Flower Dome’s stunning display of over 32,000 plants.

Enhanced Asia Pacific Lounge

During the week, delegates can relax and enjoy drinks and network with industry colleagues and friends at the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge from 17:00 – 21:00 on Monday and 18:00 – 21:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday, on level 4 of the Sands Expo & Convention Centre.

Hosted in partnership with Qatar Duty Free, the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge features a larger space and a ‘generous balcony’ for guests to soak up the impressive views across the Bay.

The resplendent Flower Dome (pictured left) at the Gardens by the Bay will welcome guests at the Opening Cocktail on Sunday 7 May.

Beverages and snacks will be served courtesy of of sponsors Heineken, Korea Ginseng Corp., BlackBall, Duty Free Global, Brown-Forman, Crafter’s, Mondelēz International, Wonderful Pistachios, Perfetti Van Melle, and Valrhona.

On Wednesday evening, the festivities will conclude with a live music performance.

Elsewhere, official meetings in the exhibition hall will be complemented by TFWA’s One2One meeting services that offers introductions between exhibiting brands, key buyers, airports, cruise and ferry operators and airlines.

Erik Juul-Mortensen, President, TFWA said: “We are looking forward to connecting again with friends and colleagues in Singapore. The social programme is so important in giving participants the chance to network in a relaxed atmosphere, away from the bustle of the main exhibition and conference. I would like to thank all partners and sponsors helping enable this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference.”

Thabet Musleh, Vice President, Qatar Duty Free said: “After a long absence, Qatar Duty Free is excited to be back in Singapore at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference 2023 and delighted to continue its long-standing partnership with TFWA as the main partner of the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge. It is always an honour to support events that bring key aviation and travel retail industry members together to connect and discuss future collaborations.”
