The Bluedog Group accelerates growth with new talent & strategic acquisitions
By Faye Bartle |

The Bluedog Group is continuing to expand with the addition of new team members and tactical acquisitions enhancing its skill sets and building out its areas of expertise to meet the demands of clients.
“We’re building something we believe is quite unique and special – a respected, agile, independent group of agencies that deliver outstanding projects for its clients, be it a challenger brand through to global powerhouse,” said CEO Nick King.
“Over the next five years, we expect headcount to continue to grow, be active in a few new sectors, and continuing to work with some of the most progressive brands in the world.
“We’re also actively exploring new business lines in areas like even more immersive digital experiences, AI-driven creative tools and our continued push to be fully sustainable.
“These are all currently at different stages but all exciting areas for us – and we think they’ll shape the future of brand experience, regardless of sector.”
In this video exchange, TRBusiness Managing Editor Faye Bartle caught up with King to find out more about the company’s fast-growing business in the travel retail industry and beyond, with its portfolio of agencies offering everything from live events to brand activations and, more recently, PR and marketing with the acquisition of Essential Communications in 2023.
King reveals how cross-collaboration between the agencies is being amplified to create impactful projects and campaigns.
He also shares an insight into the company’s work beyond GTR and how this experience is helping the company to become “more effective, more resilient and more innovative” in its work in all sectors, ultimately benefitting its clients.
“What’s special is our ability to adapt those disciplines across sectors, giving us a broader creative and strategic toolkit than most competitors,” he said.
“Whether it’s launching a luxury product or delivering a global summit, we apply the same high standards – and learnings from one sector often spark innovation in another. It’s part of what makes our group model so unique.”
