The Changeling lands in travel retail as Bowmore-Frank Quitely tie-up evolves

Islay single malt whisky Bowmore has released The Changeling, two new expressions exclusive to global travel retail.
The 22-year-old (51.2% ABV) and 33-year-old (48.7% ABV) single malts are available at outlets in downtown Hainan and at airport stores including Paris, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna, Munich, Berlin, Hong-Kong, Macau, Dubai, Singapore, Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, London Heathrow, and New York.
Bowmore Master Blender Ron Welsh has collaborated with graphic artist Frank Quitely, building on the success of the first edition ‘No Corners to Hide’.
For The Changeling, Quitely has captured the essence of Islay and reinterpreted some of its myths and legends through a creative lens made famous through his work for Marvel and DC Comics.
Manuel González, Marketing Director Global Travel Retail for Beam Suntory, said: “We are very excited to continue bringing to life the legends from Islay and Bowmore and after the success of the first edition No Corners to Hide, we’re delighted to launch Bowmore The Changeling exclusively to global travel retail.
“The award-winning Frank Quitely has once again captured the rich history of Bowmore and brought the myths and legends to life in the same vein as he did with the immense Marvel and DC Comics. The Frank Quitely collection continues to demonstrate our commitment to offer our customers consumers incredible exclusive collectible opportunities across our portfolio.”

The Changeling 22 Year Old (pictured) is available at an RRSP of $400, with a run of 6,667 bottles, while The Changeling 33 Year Old (top) can be purchased at an RRSP of $3,300, with 667 bottles available.
Welch points out that different maturation styles have been used to shape the character of the expressions, with the choice of port casks a deliberate one to add a distinct dimension to each.
