The Estée Lauder Companies has agreed to purchase the outstanding shares it did not already own in Have & Be Co. Ltd in November.

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) Inc has today (18 December) announced it has completed the acquisition of Have & Be Co. Ltd, the global skin care company behind Dr Jart.

As reported, ELC agreed to purchase the outstanding shares it did not already own in Have & Be Co. Ltd in November. In completing the acquisition, ELC assumed control of the remaining two thirds of the company behind Dr Jart + and men’s grooming brand Do The Right Thing.

Estée Lauder had taken a minority investment in Have & Be in 2015.

Founded in 2005 by ChinWook Lee in Seoul, Dr Jart+ is a global skincare brand which offers various high-performing skincare products. The brand name is inspired by the phrase ‘Doctor Joins Art’ and the label itself is popular among millennials in Asia and the United States.

Sold in travel retail and through freestanding stores, high-end department stores and e-commerce sites in more than 35 countries, products include moisturisers, masks, cleansers and serums. Dr Jart+ is best known for its on-trend skincare collections such as Cicapair and Ceramidin.
