Autogrill celebrates €7bn 26 airports’ victory
The Autogrill Group is expecting overall revenues of €7bn from Spanish concessions covering 26 airports and 80 points of sale to WDFG over the next seven years.
The company which trades mostly as Aldeasa in Spain has won all the duty free concessions tendered by AENA adding a further five airports to the 21 it already operates under previous arrangements.
DFS aims to transform all of its Hong Kong Airport shops
DFS Group plans to redesign all of its newly won shops at Hong Kong International Airport, according to CEO Philippe Schaus.
The DFS CEO describes the takeover of Hong Kong Airport’s concessions as ‘a tour de force’ because of the sheer scale of the management involved.
Record 1bn international tourist movements
The World Travel & Tourism Council estimates that a record 1bn ‘tourists’ will travel across an international border in 2012.
According to the World Tourism Organisation, the top five tourist destinations last year were Paris, London, New York, Antalya and Singapore.
