Following the recent appointment of Alpha by Thomas Cook to manage their in-flight retail range, the pre-season launch workshop attended by over a 100 cabin crew and key suppliers is said to have proved to
be a great success.
The event was supported by Carole Jones who is currently consulting with Thomas Cook and Chloe Fox, Alpha's dedicated airline retail buyer.
Commenting on the initiative, Jones said: ‘Pre-season workshops are not a new concept, however, they do generally have a reputation for being a casual 'jolly' for a token few. This workshop was very different, it was sales focused, it was fun and it has built genuine excitement and enthusiasm for the range this summer ? everyone is talking about it.’
Chloe Fox, Alpha's Buying Manager, commented: ‘This is a great start to the summer season. Hopefully the fantastic enthusiasm that I witnessed from suppliers and crew will translate into record sales.’
Both parties also added that feedback from the event has been extremely positive from suppliers and cabin crew alike.
