Awards image JPGTRBusiness is now accepting entries for the 2019 Travel Retail Awards, which will culminate in a grand awards ceremony at Singapore’s Conrad Hotel on Monday 13 May, 2019.

Global DF&TR suppliers are encouraged to enter their products via the new easy-to-use online portal.

*Please note airports are automatically entered based on data provided by m1nd-set’s database of international airports.

To enter the awards and take advantage of our special early bird discount (available until 14th December) please CLICK HERE.

The Travel Retail Awards was established to recognise true ingenuity in product development and an unfaltering commitment to retail concept and service execution in the channel.

Every single product entered into the awards will be submitted to a team of over 5,000 travelling shoppers for evaluation, sourced from m1nd-set’s unique international database.

Products are also appraised by a team of international travelling bloggers and video bloggers, with a broad range of experience travelling around the globe.

The blogger panel will have the added advantage of being able to touch, feel and experience each product for themselves before evaluating.

The results generated by m1nd-set’s database will represent 70% of the overall score for each product, while the points awarded by the bloggers and vloggers will represent 30%.

See the video below to learn more about the bloggers and vloggers’ experience of judging products.

TANGIBLE RESULTS

The Travel Retail Awards is unlike any other and by simply entering the awards you will gain access to critical feedback, which will enable you to tailor your product offering to international travellers’ needs.

In just one year, the Travel Retail awards logo has already become a stamp of approval that is recognised by consumers as previous winner, Francis Ng, Toscow General Manager, attests to.

Travel-Retail-Awards-why-enter-2019-tall“With the introduction of the Travel Retail Award logo on our inflight listings page, we experienced more than a 15% increase in sales as compared with previous months. We also put the logo on all our social media and this generated a lot of interest from both our corporate clients as well as general consumers.”

Winner of the 2019 Jewellery Category, Toscow has promoted the win directly to travelling consumers using the 2018 Travel Retail Awards Voted by Shoppers winners’ logo.

“Receiving the award was a great recognition of our work and commitment to the travel retail industry,” adds Henri Brunel, Philippe de Rothschild S.A.

“It also crowned our new innovative packaging (no paper label bottle, all engraved) for Mouton Cadet Reserve and our new style of wine, with a higher concentration of fruit; a smoother and rounder style of wine.

“We were very proud to receive this award, especially from a panel of consumers and bloggers. It caught the attention of many industry wines & spirits buyers who were interested in expanding the range with this new Mouton Cadet Reserve.”

Another beneficiary of the exposure afforded by the Travel Retail Awards is Butlers Chocolates, which won Best Confectionery Product for its Platinum Collection.

Since winning, the supplier has been proudly displaying its Voted by Shoppers logo at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 and has received rave reviews from customers.

“Highlighting the Butlers’ product as an award winner has really helped to raise the profile of the brand and engage customer interest, helping to drive sales,” confirms Kathryn Kindness, Country Commercial Category Manager at World Duty Free.
