Standout TR Consumer Forum concludes in Cyprus
By Luke Barras-hill |

The 2022 TR Consumer Forum drew 180 delegates from leading airports, retailers, brands and other service providers.
The second annual TR Consumer Forum, which took place between 4-6 September in Limassol, Cyprus, attracted 180 DF&TR stakeholders for a vibrant educational programme and plenty of critical networking.
As the industry continues to rebuild following the pandemic, C-level executives from airports, brands, retailers and industry service providers gathered in the resplendent surroundings of the luxury Park Lane Resort & Spa for the event organised by TRBusiness and m1nd-set and hosted by Cyprus Duty Free.
A total of nine dynamic sessions were held over the two-day educational programme, which was supplemented by expert consumer insights courtesy of m1nd-set.
The TR Consumer Forum steers away from the lengthy and often indeterminate presentation-heavy sessions synonymous with other B2B conferences.
Instead, the Forum prefers to concentrate on panel-based discussions that address the mechanics of the business and how companies, categories and channels in travel retail are responding to the fundamental challenge of continually evolving consumer expectations.
Return in 2023 planned for June
During the event, Head of Events and Corporate Social Responsibility Michael Barrett revealed that the TR Consumer Forum is set to return in June 2023, with further details to be confirmed at a later date.

Rob Marriott, Chief Executive of ARI Middle East (ARIME), addressed attendees in the opening keynote on day one of the TR Consumer Forum.
