TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AND COUNTING…
As part of its enduring mission of ‘Helping the industry grow’, TRBusiness will host six high-profile events this year, all offering unsurpassed value to industry stakeholders while fortifying this organisation’s position as the leading travel retail B2B digital media and events company.
Inside this year’s eagerly anticipated Global Industry Survey (to be published shortly in the January ezine), readers will discover that the majority of respondents voiced their approval of hybrid events, however many reiterated the importance of live physical events and the need for face-to-face meeting and networking opportunities, which TRBusiness will be delighted to offer this year at the TR Consumer Forum. More on that below…
Back by popular demand after a hugely successful debut in 2021, Travel Retail Sustainability Week (TRSF) is due to take place virtually from 19-22 April, coinciding with ‘World Earth Day’.
In May, the second iteration of the consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards: Asia Pacific will be broadcast to viewers across the world.
Having kickstarted the resurrection of physical industry conferences in earnest in September 2021, the Travel Retail Consumer Forum – which received momentous praise from across the industry – plans to return in a physical guise once again in the week commencing 5 September (more details to follow).
Suppliers, airports and sustainability advocates will not have to wait long to discover if their products or initiatives have received travellers’ stamp of approval when the consumer-voted Global Travel Retail Awards 2022 takes place in the week commencing 3 October, timed to coincide with the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION; MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING
And that’s not all… bolstering TRBusiness’ award-winning portfolio are two special webinars to be hosted in June as part of a broadened corporate focus, with other projects in the pipeline.
TRBusiness will offer opportunities for the duty free & travel retail industry to openly discuss other CSR topics beyond environmental issues, chiefly ensuring diversity and inclusion, in addition to equity and equality both in the workplace and in travel retail environments. It will also allow stakeholders to share their experiences and best practice examples in offering appropriate levels of support for employees with regards to their mental health and wellbeing.
The ongoing impact of the pandemic has meant many employees continue to work remotely or in a reduced capacity and both of these dedicated sessions will dig deeper into the topics, shining the spotlight on important initiatives and asking what travel retail is doing to support workforces.
