Victorinox unveils diverse and colourful new portfolio ahead of TFWA Cannes

Victorinox-swiss-army-knife-food-collection-2019-leadKnown primarily for its Swiss Army knives, Victorinox, has added several new products to its multi-category travel retail product offer, which it will showcase at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition (Bay Village, 17B) in Cannes.

 

As reported back in June, the global family-run company has increased its South American DF&TR presence by securing new listings with Dufry Group in its arrivals duty free store at Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport.

Following the launch of the female Alliance XS watch earlier this year, the model has now been updated to feature 11 Swarovski crystals set as indexes on the dial, which are enhanced by the ‘Super-LumiNova’ brightness of the dots and hands.

NEW IN MEN’S WATCHES

The 28mm watch is available in five styles, including mesh in rose gold and stainless steel.

 

New to the male Victorinox watch offer is the FieldForce Sport Chrono, which boasts chronograph functions and a tachymeter scale. The watch comes in five different designs, including black and anthracite dials, distinct numbers in white, red or green, rubber straps in black or orange, or a black PVD stainless steel bracelet.

 

Featuring a stainless steel case with the choice of a gunmetal PVD treatment, the watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres.

 

In the company’s luggage portfolio, a beetroot colour has been added to the Lexicon collection of premium performance hard-side cases, meaning there are now two cabin carry-on cases and two check-in travel cases available to choose from in the new shade.

 

The Lexicon Collection luggage is said to maximise space thanks to a new patented moulding technology that allows for super-recessed wheels and handles.

 

LEXICON LUGGAGE NOW IN BEETROOT

“Taking inspiration from the Original Swiss Army Knife, a multi-functional tool is smartly hidden beneath a sliding ID tag,” explains Victorinox. “The tool unveils a USB port (for carry-ons) as well as a pen and SIM card replacement tool.

A beetroot colour has been added to the Lexicon collection of premium performance hard-side cases.

“It works with a battery pack (sold separately) which allows for charging while traveling. A zippered divider wall with a large pocket and easy-to-clean lining, as well as a removable full suiter in all checked luggage styles allows for easy packing.”

 

Victorinox insists that all its Lexicon luggage features durable 100% virgin polycarbonate, dual-coil, theft-proof zippers and an integrated Travel Sentry Approved combination lock for superior protection and security.

 

Two new models for business travellers have also been introduced to the Altmont Professional Backpack Collection.

 

The lightweight Wheeled Laptop Backpack and Tablet Sling Bag, made from ‘resistant ballistic-weave polyester’, offer a range of highly-functional features including multiple organisational pockets and a removable essentials organiser.

 

KNIFES FOR ALL TASTES

“When converting to a trolley, the backpack is easy and comfortable to manoeuvre thanks to its curved mono-pole pull-system with twisting handgrip and two smooth rolling inline skate wheels. The sling bag can carry a tablet up to 10’’/25cm,” adds Victorinox.

 

Both items are available in classic black, dark earth and the new seasonal colour deep lake.

 

Regarding its hero product, the brand will be exhibiting the Classic Limited Edition ‘Food of the World’ pocket knife collection featuring ten different designs that were created by ‘Victorinox fans all over the globe’, insists Victorinox.

The items – available while stocks last – include the Sardine Can knife, Banana Split, Burger Bar and the When Life Gives You Lemons knife. The knife’s tools comprise: small blade, scissors, nail file, screwdriver 2.5 mm, key ring, toothpick, tweezers.

 

Lastly, Victorinox has created a standalone Nail Clipper with red cap, measuring 59mm, which comes in a compact format which easily fits in pockets. “The product comes with very sharp curved edges for best results and a lanyard hole which allows for easy attachment to key rings,” summarises Victorinox.
