Katy Mason, UK Buying Manager & Buyer — Beauty and Fragrance, Tourvest Retail Services, looks back at this year’s TFWA exhibition.
The current state and future outlook of the inflight retail channel was hotly debated during the inflight workshop at this year’s TFWA inflight workshop in Cannes.
The below video featuring Katy Mason, UK Buying Manager & Buyer — Beauty and Fragrance, Tourvest Retail Services, looks back at this year’s exhibition, which saw fewer fragrance launches, but some ‘particularly exciting beauty launches for inflight.’
She also reveals how the company signed a deal for an exclusive make-up range which will launch in January 2019 and managed to agree various collaborations across all categories.
Tourvest is particularly excited to launch Johnnie Walker White Walker which ties in with the Game of Thrones television show.
With the final series next year, Mason believes the story around this product is ‘fantastic’ and is confident Tourvest can execute it well inflight.
In terms of product related trends, she added: “We are still seeing a lot of mythical creatures including the mermaid and unicorn which are cropping up in all sorts of different categories.”
