[Video] Travel Retail Awards: TR consumers have their say

By Luke Barras-hill |

BloggersTRBusiness is delighted to announce that stage one judging for the first and only consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards has concluded.

A leading panel of bloggers and vloggers (video bloggers) possessing a broad spectrum of product and travel experience gathered at a London venue earlier this month to cast their judgement on 13 product categories (for background information on the awards categories, click here).

We asked these key influencers a series of questions that drill deeper into the mechanics of travel retail, inviting them to share thoughts on their likes and dislikes when it comes to airport shopping, favourable purchases, and good and bad experiences.

GIVING CONSUMERS A VOICE

Click below for a sneak preview of how they got on, as TRBusiness got up close and personal with those that truly matter to our industry – travelling consumers.

Partner m1nd-set will now carry out detailed research among 5,000, participants uniquely sourced from the Swiss research agency’s unique database of international travellers (weighted at 70% of the total score), before finalists are announced in March.

TRAlogoThe winners will be revealed at the Travel Retail Awards, which takes place on Monday 7 May at Singapore’s Conrad Hotel during the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference.

Those who emerge victorious will be able to bear the prestigious Travel Retail Awards logo (left), identifiable by travellers at airports and on products globally.

This is intended to act as a benchmark for consumer confidence – as voted for by consumers.

To avoid missing out on the very first consumer-voted awards, click here to book your tickets now.

Guests will enjoy an unrivalled and action-packed night with food, drinks, entertainment and plenty of networking. Crucially, they will also witness real-life feedback on the products and airports that many are familiar with in the industry.
