Industry stakeholders from around the world can now register to attend the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2022, which is taking place from 2-6 October at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
With less than four months to go until the big event, which brings together retailers, buyers, operators, landlords, airports, airlines, agents and brands to meet face-to-face under one roof, excitement is building for a strong exhibition and conference.
Booking space is ‘fast approaching pre-Covid levels’ with ‘an outstanding number of exhibitors confirming their participation’, according to Tax Free World Association (TFWA), with its President Erik Juul-Mortensen describing the event as ‘unmissable’.
“After a hugely successful in-person event in Singapore last month, it is indeed very exciting to see how much interest there has been in TFWA’s upcoming event in Cannes this October,” he said.
“I would like to thank the many brands who have confirmed their presence at the event – some of whom have actually taken even more space in the exhibition hall than before – for playing their part in facilitating our industry’s road to recovery.
“The floor space reserved by exhibitors to date, which is already well ahead of last year’s edition, plus the impressive number of major brands confirming their attendance, mean that the scale of this year’s event in Cannes is going to be up there with pre-Covid editions.
“This will doubtless be an unmissable event that will further underscore our unwavering commitment to accelerating the recovery of the duty free and travel retail industry.
“We’re very much looking forward to reconnecting with our members, industry colleagues, and trade partners once again in Cannes.”
Pre-registration for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2022 is open until 8 September 2022.
At the time of publishing, there are 310 companies appearing on the online exhibitors list, including 46 new exhibitors this year, such Acca Kappa, Camus Wines & Spirits, Fauchon, Hunter Laing, Leonor Greyl, Nauhaus, SK-II Group, Tateossian and Victoria’s Secret & Co.
As reported, reserved floor space for the 2022 event was already approaching 80% of pre-Covid figures in early May.
This year’s exhibition and conference also marks the return of the TFWA i.lab ideas hub that spotlights innovative ways to engage travelling consumers.
