Walker’s launches new Sticky Toffee Shortbread Rounds sharing bags

The sharing bags contain individually wrapped bite-sized shortbread pieces.

Walker’s Shortbread has expanded its travel retail offering with the launch of new Sticky Toffee Shortbread Rounds sharing bags, combining the flavours of the classic British dessert with the brand’s signature all-butter shortbread.

The family-owned Scottish brand, which has more than 128 years of baking heritage, said the new product responds to growing demand for nostalgic and comforting flavours within the travel retail environment.

Crafted in the Scottish Highlands, the sharing bags contain individually wrapped bite-sized shortbread pieces infused with the rich flavours of dates and toffee. The recipe remains rooted in Walker’s traditional shortbread formula, made using flour, butter, sugar and a pinch of salt.

The new format has been designed specifically with travel retail consumers in mind, targeting gifting, sharing and on-the-go consumption occasions.

According to the brand, the product aims to capitalise on the global popularity of classic British flavours by bringing together two well-known favourites: Walker’s traditional shortbread and sticky toffee pudding.

Priced at an RRP of £9.50 for a 250g bag, the Sticky Toffee Shortbread Rounds are currently available in Avolta and Lagardère stores across the UK.
