Wintry backdrop inspires third iteration of Royal Salute Polo Collection

By Luke Barras-hill |

Royal-Salute-Snow-Polo-editionRoyal Salute – the so-called ‘King of Whisky’ – has unmasked the third expression of its annual Polo Collection.

The 21 Year Old Snow Polo Edition, which is the first ever blended grain whisky in the Royal Salute Collection, is a limited edition Scotch that pays tribute to the winter sport and its snow-capped mountain landscapes.

It will be available for a limited time in duty free during December.

Crafted by Master Blender Sandy Hyslop with an ABV of 46.5% (representing the latitude coordinates of snow polo’s birthplace in Saint Moritz, Switzerland), the whisky is endorsed by former England Polo Team Captain and Royal Salute World Polo Ambassador Malcolm Borwick.

It is presented in an attractive gift box that plays on vintage Alpine terrain, with the bottle housed in Royal Salute’s iconic porcelain flacon in white and silver.

Snow Polo echoes Royal Salute’s enduring support of a polo events programme spanning four continents.

Originating 35 years ago on the frozen lakes of Saint Moritz, snow polo is played globally and requires precision, concentration and dexterity from participants.
