Zendaya Coleman launches Lancôme’s Idôle fragrance for ‘new generation’

Zendaya-Coleman-Lancome-leadAs predicted, Lancôme’s latest brand ambassador – American actress, singer and ‘fashion authority’, Zendaya Coleman – is the face of the brand’s new feminine fragrance, Idôle, to be launched mid-August. Travel retail activities to promote the launch will begin in mid-September.


Available in several refillable formats (25ml, 50ml and 75ml), Idôle will be accompanied by a perfume fountain – ‘La Recharge’ – at selected points of sale.


“I am thrilled to be the face of this new Lancôme fragrance,” says Coleman. “Idôle is a perfume that has meaning. I like the fact that it’s fresh and light. I am very particular about perfumes, and Idôle smells absolutely beautiful and I love it.”


As reported, Lancôme appointed Coleman as the new face of the brand earlier this year. She joins an impressive roster of ambassadors and models for the brand which include, Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet, Isabella Rossellini, Penelope Cruz, Lupita Nyong’o, Lily Collins and Taylor Hill.


L’Oréal-owned Lancôme describes the new juice as a musky chypre floral, created by a combination of three female perfumers: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina and Nadège Le Garlantezec.

The scent blends sustainably sourced Isparta Rose Petal Essence from Turkey – exclusively made for Lancôme – along with a Centifolia Rose grown in France, with bergamot, accords of pear, India Jasmine Grandiflorum, and a new ‘clean and glow’ accord that is set to ‘re-write the white page on which every woman starts her story’, says L’Oréal.


“Verdant and tender, fresh and voluptuous, Idôle is a fragrance which speaks volumes, and sparkles in light,” adds Lancôme.


“Crystallizing a new out-of-the-box vision of success – one that unites and transcends rather than separates beyond convention – the Idôle bottle, designed by architect and industrial designer Chafik Gasmi, is the fitting tribute to the industry technical advances and innovations.”
