Zero Bar plots strategy for expansion as it becomes Travel Retail Awards finalist
By Charlotte Turner |
With the help of luxury beauty agency, Brands of Style, organic, vegan and sustainable skincare brand Zero Bar hopes to increase its listings in travel retail this year as its Charcoal Travel Essentials bar has recently been shortlisted for a global Travel Retail Award.
The South African company boasts bath, hair and body products that are water free, plastic free and cruelty free and use only the best locally-sourced ingredients.
With sustainability being a top priority for the brand, one bar is said to last 55-70 hair washes.
As reported, six products represented by Brands of Style have been shortlisted as finalists in the 2021 Travel Retail Awards. Click here to find out more.
PLASTIC-FREE VISION
The travel range is limited to two skus – Charcoal and Argan currently – but with the Charcoal Travel Essentials bar becoming a TR Awards finalist recently, the brand’s agency, Brands of Style, believes the company has huge potential to expand in the market.
The founder of Zero Bar, Bruce Turner, is not new to the beauty industry, having been a franchise partner for Crabtree & Evelyn in South Africa previously.
“I had the pleasure of working with Bruce as I used to be the Export Franchise Manager for EMEA region,” said Elena Bloothoofd, CEO, Brands of Style.
“Bruce went on to start his own Hotel Amenity Business purely for African region and in doing so he created this new range that’s is receiving rave consumer and press reviews.
“He had a vision on creating something that would reduce the plastic waste and so that’s how this range came about.”
