Abdulaziz Al-Asaker named Commercial Group VP at Riyadh Airports Company

Abdulaziz Al-Asaker’s appointment follows a year of record-setting performances by King Khalid International Airport.

Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) has appointed Abdulaziz Al-Asaker as Commercial Group Vice President, TRBusiness can confirm.

Al-Asaker, formerly Acting VP Commercial, took up his new post on 1 January. He takes charge of all commercial and related functions across the business.

RAC has been approached for comment.

His appointment comes amid a period of impressive growth for RAC and King Khalid International Airport in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Revenues from retail and duty free have been on a steady upward trajectory for some time and the reopening of Terminals 3 and 4 in November expects to yield further momentum for commercial sales in the months ahead.

Al-Asaker spoke to TRBusiness last year in a trade exclusive video interview in which he elucidated on the ‘best-in-class’ retail and commercial proposition expected at those terminals.
