ADDF expands services

Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) reports that its elite Golden Class Service at Abu Dhabi International Airport and the City Terminal is meeting with great success.
The retailer said: ‘In April and May alone this year over 2000 travellers moved through the City Terminal, enjoying this personal meet and greet service, with all its benefits, as well as AED20 duty free gift vouchers.
Passengers of any airline may take advantage of the Golden Class service, which is an elite personal meet and greet service whereby passengers are met and taken through a mere three minute check in and have immigration formalities quickly handled.’
ADDF says Golden Class is available to all arriving or departing passengers, not just first or business class, at a nominal fee and includes benefits. These include the issuance of international driver licenses (at the airport), preferential rates on the VIP lounge, with complimentary refreshments, use of a business centre with internet facilities and access to a health club with a children's area. Other advantages of this service include preferential rates for limousine hire and fresh flower bouquets on arrival.
In separate news, ADDF also reports that its joint venture on airport Pharmacy partnered with the Bin Sina Pharmaceutical Group has proved to be highly successful. ADDF said: ‘Bin Sina Pharmacy, which was opened at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, has shown a rise in sales in the first six months of trading and has exceeded all expectations. The pharmacy, which is managed by the leading pharmaceutical chain in the UAE, has shown a staggering 63% increase in monthly sales since its inception late last year and currently has an impressive $20 Average Spend Per Head (ASPH).
Abu Dhabi & Al Ain Catering and Duty Free Managing Director, Mohamed Mounib said: ‘We saw a need for such a facility for international customers. With the support from the Ministry of Health, we reached an agreement to work with Bin Sina. We are delighted with the results to date, and that we have once again provided a first within our retail environment for our customers.’
