ADDF launches fashion line

Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) has created and launched its own premium fashion label called Vespucci in an effort to offer customers a range of premium fashion products that combines value for money.

Speaking to local press ADDF Managing Director Mohammed Mounib said that it was the retailer's intention to create recognition for a brand with international flair that appeals to international travellers.?
ADDF is now featuring the Vespucci Autumn/Winter 2006 collection at its Gift International store at Abu Dhabi International Airport, where the range is described as ‘diverse, colourful, elegant and classy.?
ADDF is featuring two ranges, with the men's line including linen suits, classic shirts, silk ties, cufflinks, polo shirts, t-shirts, watches, sunglasses, belts, leather accessories and shoes. Meanwhile, the ladies' range includes polo shirts, t-shirts, watches, sunglasses, handmade leather shoes and uniquely designed colourful handbags.
A Spring/Summer 2007 collection will be ready in February 2007, and Mounib told localpress that ADDF is promising its customers ‘a top of the range selection’ in fashion, leather and accessories that will make Vespucci a real sought-after brand.
ADDF General Manager Niveen Ibrahim told local press that the name Vespucci had been extensively researched to appeal to international travellers, with an emphasis on the spirit of discovery. She said the core of the brand is keep discovering.
ADDF says it is offering good value for money within the new ranges, as well as a guarantee of high quality merchandise, as well as input from worldwide specialized designers and manufacturers.
Initially ADDF plans to retail the brand for a few years at Abu Dhabi Duty Free in Terminal 1 and then in Terminal 3 when it opens, before offering it in other travel retail operations and to domestic market retailers in the Middle East and Europe. ADDF adds that the brand will now join the ranks of other well- known fashion labels at Abu Dhabi, such as Hugo Boss, Ferragamo, Givenchy and others.
The retailer has also appointed a new Brand Manager for Vespucci in Beverly Soar, who has many years of retail experience in the UK and Middle East. ADDF says Soar will oversee the performance of the brand and be involved in all aspects of its business.
