Bahrain reports healthy Q3

Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex (BDFSC) yesterday reported a consolidated net profit of BD.1m ($2.65m) for its third quarter trading period, against BD.844,000 ($2.2m) in the comparable period last year.
According to BDFS, total sales increased impressively to BD.7.3m ($19.4m) for the quarter, compared with BD.6m ($15.9m) in the same period last year. Gross profit rose to BD.2.3m ($6.1m) from BD.1.98m ($5.3m) in Q3 last year.
Net profits between January and September were reported at BD.3.4m ($9m), up significantly on the BD.2.7m ($7.2m) reported n the first three quarters of 2005.
