Colm McLoughlin wins ‘Global BURJ CEO of the Year’ honour

Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin received the Global BURJ CEO of the Year award at last week’s second BURJ CEO Awards in front of 350 international guests and top global VIPs, CEO Clubs’ members and media.
Organised by CEO Clubs Network, this year’s awards were held at the Dorchester Hotel in London, recognising the ‘top CEOs from the UAE and internationally. McLoughlin, accompanied by his wife Breeda, received his recognition for his contribution to the retail industry, plus his achievement ‘as an influential leader in the duty free business’ over 34 years.

Commenting on the recognition, McLoughlin said: “I’m absolutely delighted receiving this honour and I dedicate this to our team of staff and to our Chairman, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum for his continuous support throughout the years.”
The CEO Clubs Patron, His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum presented the awards together with Dr. Tariq Nizami, Founder & CEO of CEO Clubs Network. Also assisting were Mr. Viscount Waverley – Founder of Supply Finder and Dr. Tahir Akhtar – Chairman of Adam Holdings.
30 RECIPIENTS RECEIVED AWARDS THIS YEAR
The Burj CEO Awards honoured thirty recipients, including His Excellency Dr. Hage Geingo, The President of the Republic of Namibia who was named The Visionary African Leadership, while His Excellency Sadiq Khan, The Mayor of London was named Mayor of the Year.
His Highness The Aga Khan received the Life Achievement Award; Mohammed Abdulla Shael Al Saadi, CEO-Business Development & Strategy Sector of Dubai Economy received The Smart Government Department award; while Mariam Othman – Director-General of Rashid Centre for Disabled received the award for The Best Welfare Organization.
