DDF-Annualpromotion-72

DDF has hosted its successful annual promotion since its 20th anniversary in 2003.

Travellers to Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airports are eligible to a 25% discount on purchases at Dubai Duty Free (DDF) for a limited time only.

In traditional fashion, the travel retailer is expanding its *annual promotion for 72 hours beginning at midnight on 17 December in a year in which it celebrates its 35th milestone.

To mark the occasion, DDF is planning a ‘party-like atmosphere’ at its retail operations.

This will include its Millennium Millionaire draw, Finest Surprise Luxury Car draw and a number of other promotional activities.

“The DDF anniversary promotion is now a highly-anticipated event with many travellers choosing to travel on the days when the 25% discount is offered,” said Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, DDF.

“I think the big discount day is going to create a fantastic atmosphere at Dubai Duty Free for the entire 72 hours and it would be terrific to break the daily sales record on the anniversary day.

“We like to involve our customers, suppliers and staff in our celebrations as it is our way of saying thank you for helping us achieve such fantastic sales results over the years,” added McLoughlin.

As reported, DDF is on course to hit its $2bn sales target this year despite a softening in trade in the past few months linked to currency and other factors.
