Dubai Duty Free walked away with the award for 'Middle East Travel Retailer of the Year' for the tenth consecutive year at the recent DFNI Asia Pacific Awards which coincided with last week's Tax Free

World Association exhibition in Singapore.

Commenting on the unprecedented tenth consecutive win for Dubai Duty Free, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, said: ‘The DFNI Awards are true industry honours and it is gratifying to know that Dubai Duty Free is consistently seen as the best in the business amongst its peers.’

Voting forms for the DFNI Asia Pacific awards were sent to a special industry 'academy' of retailers, suppliers, agents and distributors serving the region. Voting forms were also distributed through the Duty Free News International publication and on-line.

Accepting the award in Singapore, Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, thanked H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum for his continuing support and praised the efforts of the duty free team of employees.

‘The DFNI awards recognize excellence in service, innovation and quality within the airport retail sector and as such, it is fantastic to receive this recognition for ten years running. We hope to retain this award for many years to come and I would like to thank all of those who voted for Dubai Duty Free,’ he said.

The DFNI award follows close on the heels of the Business Traveller Middle East Award for 'Best Duty Free' which was presented to Dubai Duty Free during the Arabian Travel Market in May.
