Dufry Sharjah opens hybrid Hudson Café at Sharjah International Airport

Dufry Sharjah, the joint venture of Avolta and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ), has opened a Hudson Cafè at the UAE hub, blending retail and F&B.

Hudson Café Sharjah is based on the ‘Refuel, Recharge, Restock’ concept, which combines Avolta’s retail, bookstore and food & beverage businesses, offering passengers travel essentials alongside a selection of books and magazines, mobile phones and mobile accessories, as well as a wide range of food and drinks.

The hybrid store has been brought to life in partnership with Mondelez World Travel Retail and features premium experiences including Toblerone desserts, which are only available at SHJ.

Hudson Cafè Sharjah has been brought to life by Dufry Sharjah in partnership with Mondelez WTR.

The collaboration with Mondelez World Travel Retail gives rise to an ‘expansive’ selection of Toblerone confectionery products alongside premium experiences, such as Toblerone desserts that are exclusive to the airport.

The shop-in-shop also features interactive touchpoints such as Mondelez WTR’s Toblerone sleeve printer, giving consumers the option to personalise the sleeve for a 360g bar with text and images

Travelling consumers can try exclusive Toblerone desserts at Hudson Café Sharjah.

Sharjah International Airport served over 15 million passengers in 2023, and is connected to over 100 destinations in 62 countries through 33 international airlines.

Avolta has operated the travel retail business at Sharjah International Airport for the past 30 years through the joint venture, Dufry Sharjah.
