Passengers at Dubai International Airport (DXB) will be entertained and kept ‘commercially engaged’ this month through a series of promotions and seasonal activities in its terminals.
The festive period offers travellers a chance to claim three free vouchers by searching for ‘Early Birds DXB’ on Facebook Messenger or speaking directly to Santa, as Dubai Airports hosts a range of discounts on activities, services, dining and quick bites.
Those travelling from Terminal 3 will also get a chance to experience the new Winter Wonderland DXB.
Entertainment for children and adults includes a visit from Santa and his sleigh, a 14-metre tall Burj Khalifa made from gingerbread and an ‘Instagrammable’ village scene set in the middle of Concourse B.

PAX FLOW MONITORING
Anita Mehra, Senior Vice President of Communication & Reputation at Dubai Airports said: “December is one of the busiest months of our year, on some days there will be more than 250,000 passengers travelling through the three terminals.
“This means we have two priorities, to manage the operational flow of these hundreds of thousands of passengers, and that they all have an enjoyable and memorable experience at DXB.
“The addition of the Winter Wonderland DXB for 2017 is an exciting one, we have a Bounce trampoline park, and festive themed food and drinks.
“It is sure to keep passengers, both young and old, entertained and delighted, as well as creating a really festive atmosphere in the entire airport.”
The airport anticipates that the month’s busiest travel days will coincide with the closure of schools in the UAE for the holidays.
In response to this, staff levels will be ‘augmented during peak periods’, with operational teams using the latest sensor technology to constantly monitor passenger flows to avoid delays and long queues.
