Emirates record profits

The Emirates Group has reported its 19th consecutive year of profit with net profits increasing by 23.5% to a new high of Dhms.3.5bn ($942m) for its financial year ended March 31 2007.

Group revenue rose by 28.4% to Dhms.31.1bn ($8.5bn), compared with Dhms.24.2bn ($6.6bn) last year. Emirates also maintained a cash balance of Dhms.12.9bn ($3.5bn) at the end of March, an improvement of 17.8% against the previous year.
Emirates' impressive performance reflects its success in building excellent relationships with its passengers and a very good reputation for quality service. Last year the airline flew an additional 3m passengers to bring its total to a new record on 17.5m for the full financial year period.
