Etihad launches inaugural Vibe Awards to complement new shopping guide

The Vibe Awards are a celebration of the best-of-the-best cabin crew at Etihad Airways.

Etihad Airways has launched its new Vibe Awards following the unveiling of the Lifestyle Shopping Guide last October.

Held at the Rotana Hotel Yas Island, the Vibe Awards are a celebration of the best-of-the-best cabin crew at Etihad Airways. Over 100 crew and VIPs attended the event and over 10 suppliers, who co-presented awards. Suppliers included Traveller, Blue Storks, Buckley London and Fervor. The awards were sponsored by Traveller (Gold Sponsor), Interluxury Swiss Watch Group (Silver) and Pimente (Bronze).

Ten awards were presented to over 20 nominees, including the special achievement award to the Service Delivery and Training departments.


The Vibe Awards were preceded by the Vibe Crew Roadshow, an opportunity for crew to experience new products and innovations listed by Retail inMotion in Etihad’s inflight retail offering. Attended by 300 cabin crew and 20 suppliers, the event featured raffles and competitions throughout the two days.

Joe Harvey, Senior Manager Global Boutique Development, Retail inMotion said: “The Vibe Awards give us an important opportunity to recognise, acknowledge and reward the efforts of the Etihad crew. The Vibe Awards will become an annual celebration, exclusive to selected crew members, key suppliers and the senior management of Etihad and Retail inMotion. We couldn’t run retail programmes without crew and we want to thank them appropriately.”


The new shopping guide was developed by inflight retailer Retail inMotion in partnership with the Identity Publishing House.

The Vibe Awards provides an important platform for us to reward our crew for bringing retail magic to the guest experience.”
