MAC_BeirutDutyFreePhoenicia Aer Rianta Company (PAC) operated Beirut Duty Free says it has made a ‘bold statement’ by adding a new MAC Cosmetics counter to its newly expanded perfumes & cosmetics zone.

The 30sq m unit, which began trading last week (22 April), is visible in the main hallway of the departures terminal at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport in Lebanon.

The decision to grant a dedicated space to the US beauty brand follows a period of success in the travel retailer’s existing stores.

NUMBER ONE MAKEUP LABEL

Adrian Bradshaw, General Manager, PAC Beirut Duty Free said: “We began working with MAC in April 2015 and it has been growing from strength to strength.

“Although the initial location for the brand wasn’t as prime as we would have liked, we decided that this time we would really make a bold statement and where better than the main walkway of the terminal.

“MAC has a great reputation with our customers, the brand awareness is high in the country and region, which has led MAC to being our number one makeup brand, so we’ve certainly put our best foot forward on this project.”

MAC Cosmetics is rated highly by customers at Beirut Duty Free and in the Middle East.

Beirut Duty Free has embarked on an expansion of its perfumes & cosmetics area in the last 12 months, increasing the footprint to 45sq m (+10%).

New brands such as Benefit and Pinky Goat have joined the lineup, with Rituals, Jo Malone London, NARS and others set to arrive in due course.

The travel retailer says the addition of MAC will enhance the brand’s visibility while improving the entire duty free shopping experience.
