Oman Minister of Transport named guest of honour for 2019 MEADFA event

His Excellency Dr Ahmed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications for Oman will be guest of honour at the 2019 MEADFA event.
His Excellency Dr Ahmed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications for Oman, will be the guest of honour at the 2019 MEADFA Conference, which takes place at the Kempinski Hotel, Muscat from 24 to 26 November.
Confirmed speakers include Dr Khalfan Said Al Shueili, CEO of Oman Aviation Services and Chairman of Muscat Duty Free and Sheikh Aimen Ahmed Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports Management Co.
As reported, key themes include the rise of new retail in the Middle East and a focus on African travellers with insight from the latest TFWA-commissioned research. Delegates will hear from a number of retailers in the region and learn more about latest developments in Oman, Dubai and other important regional markets.
Commenting on the guest of honour announcement, Haitham Al Majali, MEADFA President said: “We’re delighted to welcome H.E. Dr Ahmed Al Futaisi to this year’s MEADFA Conference. His patronage is a genuine honour and demonstrates the importance of this event to the duty free and travel retail industry in Oman and the wider region.”
