Hamad passengers can win gold replicas of the signature KitKat bar.

Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) and Qatar Duty Free are offering travellers at Hamad International Airport the chance to win a KitKat bar made of real gold, via a promotion running from November through February in the airport’s main retail area.

Hamad passengers are invited to purchase any KitKat product for the opportunity to win one of three genuine gold bars.

Crafted as exclusive, gold replicas of the signature KitKat bar, the prizes will be awarded to three lucky winners, with the draw taking place on 26 February.

The activation brings to life the ‘Attract’ pillar of NITR’s A.C.T. (Attract, Convert, Thrive) category vision, by transforming KitKat into a high‑visibility, high‑engagement highlight of the store environment.

Once drawn in, the promotion strengthens the ‘Convert’ pillar by encouraging passenger exploration of the full KitKat range. By amplifying engagement and boosting conversion at shelf, the campaign also delivers on ‘Thrive’, enhancing the shopper experience, driving incremental sales, and deepening collaboration between NITR and Qatar Duy Free.

NITR General Manager Frédéric Porchet commented: “This promotion offers something truly exceptional: KitKat bars made of real gold. It’s an exciting way to bring our A.C.T. framework to life – attracting travellers with a unique, high‑impact experience and converting that excitement into meaningful engagement with the KitKat brand and the broader category.”
